The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has today issued a written ministerial statement providing an update on the timeline for connecting to pensions dashboards. The statement explains that the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) will be unable to meet the connection deadlines set out in legislation, and the timeline will need to be revised. PDP is working with DWP to establish a new and achievable plan for delivery.

The Pensions Dashboards Programme will deliver an identity service under the governance and controls regime provided by the UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework. As this trust framework will not be available during our alpha and beta testing phases, PDP will procure a single identity supplier via G-Cloud 12, during October 2021, for a two-year period.
