Today, January 31 2022, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) published its consultation, Pensions Dashboards: consultation on the draft Pensions Dashboards Regulations 2022. This is a significant step towards the realisation of pensions dashboards, as the consultation sets out the draft regulations on the key duties for occupational pension schemes to participate in pensions dashboards. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will consult on parallel proposals for personal pension providers within the next few weeks.

This is not the final data standards but should provide data and dashboard providers with sufficient information to respond effectively to the consultation.

As we head towards a socially distant Christmas, it’s quite clear that 2020 has not progressed as any of us expected. We’ve all faced significant logistical challenges as we’ve adapted to this new way of working, not least replacing face to face contact with Teams calls and maintaining communications with colleagues and stakeholders while remote working. All of which, makes me prouder than ever that we’ve reached the milestone of publishing the first set of data standards for initial dashboards, which will define the digital information that sits behind pensions dashboards.
