Pensions providers will be compelled by legislation to compulsorily connect to the pensions dashboards ecosystem.

On 8 June 2023, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) issued a written ministerial statement providing at update on the connection deadline for pensions dashboards.

The statement explains that amended regulations have been laid with a new approach to delivery. The previous staging timeline set out in legislation, will be replaced with a connection deadline of 31 October 2026.

Guidance will be published that will detail when pension providers and schemes are expected to connect to dashboards.
